After Swami Prasad Maurya, another minister of Yogi government has resigned. The latest name in this list is that of Dara Singh Chauhan, who is a cabinet minister in the Yogi government.

Who is Dara Singh Chauhan?

Dara Singh Chauhan is a minister in the Yogi government. He is the main Chauhan face of the party, who has been a major influence in the Lonia Rajput community. Dara Singh came after winning from Madhuban assembly. In the 15th Lok Sabha, he had won the election from Ghosi Lok Sabha on a BSP ticket. On 2 February 2015, he joined the BJP in the presence of Amit Shah. As soon as he joined BJP, he was made the President of BJP OBC Morcha. He was fielded by BJP from Madhuban assembly where he won by 30 thousand votes.

UP BJP is constantly facing setbacks before the elections. Earlier, Yogi government minister Swami Prasad Maurya had also resigned and said that there is going to be a stampede in the party.

Swami Prasad Maurya’s Exit Big Jolt for BJP

The Indian Express reported that Swami Prasad Maurya’s resignation will give impetus to the campaign against the state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath that Uttar Pradesh has a government of ‘upper castes’. On the other hand, BJP is trying to mobilize OBCs with it.

According to the newspaper, BJP held a meeting in Delhi on Tuesday regarding the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, BJP State President Swatantra Dev Singh, and Home Minister Amit Shah and other senior leaders of the party were present in this meeting.
