Furthermore, financial assistance has been extended to Andhra Pradesh to augment the capacity of medical colleges. These efforts are part of schemes aimed at enhancing existing State and Central Government Medical Colleges.

The Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) has also benefited Andhra Pradesh, supporting the upgrading of three Government Medical Colleges through the establishment of Super Specialty blocks. In addition, the establishment of an All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Mangalagiri marks a significant step in improving healthcare services in the region.
