Ground Report | New Delhi: Swami Prasad Maurya; After resigning from the BJP, the senior leader of BJP and Cabinet Minister Swami Prasad Maurya reached the Raj Bhavan with the resignation of Swami Prasad Maurya, who joined the Samajwadi Party.  Maurya, in his resignation letter addressed to Governor Anandiben Patel, said that he was troubled by the marginalization of Dalits and weaker sections of the society. His daughter Sanghamitra Maurya is a BJP MP from Badaun.

Sources close to Maurya said that the leader is expected to join the Samajwadi Party. Also, welcoming the leader, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said, “Heartfelt welcome and greetings to the popular leader Shri Swami Prasad Maurya ji who fought for social justice and equality and all the other leaders, workers and supporters who came with him in the SP. There will be a revolution of social justice. There will be a change in 2022.
