A 2015 batch IAS topper Tina Dabi and Athar Aamir filed a divorce petition in Jaipur’s family court. Despite presenting a joint application, the IAS topper couple may take at least six months to divorce. Only then will the decree of divorce be issued.

In fact, in the Family Court, a six-month cooling-off project is set for divorce when the divorce application is filed. During this time, if the agreement is reached between the two, then they can withdraw the petition. But, if the consent is not agreed and both the pleas are not withdrawn, the court can issue the decree granting the divorce application.

For this, both the parties will have to seek a hearing from the court soon. If the court is ready for hearing soon, then the divorce application can be approved in less than six months.
