Two workers from Uttar Pradesh were killed in a hand grenade attack in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir. Kashmir Zone Police tweeted. The suspected attacker has been arrested.

According to the J&K police, the terrorists threw a grenade in the Harmen area of Shopian, injuring two workers: Monish Kumar and Ram Sagar, both residents of Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh. The two injured workers were taken to hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries, J&K police tweeted.

Kashmir Zone Police said in a tweet, “Terrorists hurled a hand grenade at Harmen of Shopian, in which two UP workers – Monish Kumar and Ram Sagar were injured. Both were residents of Kannauj, UP. Both were taken to the hospital.” Where he died. The entire area has been cordoned off.”

Police claimed that the suspected attacker is a member of the militant organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, whose name is Imran Bashir Jani and he is a resident of Harmain. Shopian Police has arrested Imran Bashir. An investigation is going on in this case and raids are also taking place at many places.

Earlier on Saturday, a Kashmiri Pandit was shot in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.

A Pandit Puran Krishan Bhat from Kashmir was shot in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. According to the sources, the victim succumbed to his injuries after the terrorists shot him outside his residence.

The deceased Kashmiri Pandit has been identified as Puran Krishan Bhat. The Kashmiri pundit received gunshot wounds in the terror attack, after which he was rushed to Shopian district hospital. According to police sources, it has been reported that the Al-Badr terrorist group is claiming responsibility for the attack.

Shortly after the incident, the Indian Army along with the Jammu and Kashmir Police arrived at the scene and launched an investigation into the matter to catch the terrorists behind the attack. It should be noted that the attack on the civilian was carried out after the security forces neutralized four terrorists in two anti-terrorist operations.
