Next week the leaders of Japan, Australia and India will travel to New York to participate in the United Nations meeting and only then a meeting of the Quad has also been scheduled. The last time the Quad members met was in March in a virtual meeting. Foreign ministers of the four countries and others have been meeting at official levels.

The US government is in constant contact with India to discuss the issue of supply of Covid vaccine. A senior US official said that the supply and export of the Covid vaccine will be an important issue in the meeting to be held on September 24.

When the last Quad meeting was held in March, the four countries had promised to work together regarding the supply of Covid vaccine. US officials say that they are in constant contact with India and other Quad allies to continue cooperation on the Covid vaccine. An official told news agency Reuters that Washington had given its raw material to India in April in view of India’s emergency need.

The official said, “We commend India for being the world’s largest producer of safe and effective vaccines. We also recognize that COVAX (program) and the world depends on India’s contribution. For America It is important that he communicates with all his partners and allies so that necessary steps can be taken together to end the epidemic.
