Ground Report | New Delhi: Akhilesh Yadav Dalit votes; Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad has said that he will not forge an alliance with the Samajwadi Party in view of the upcoming assembly elections.

He said that “I have met Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav many times in the last six months. In the meantime, many positive things have happened between us, but in the end, I felt that they do not need Dalits.”

Chandrashekhar Azad said, “They want Dalits to vote for them but they do not want Dalit leaders in this alliance. I was afraid that Dalits would vote for them and then we could not talk to them on Dalit issues.” “I am disappointed that they have insulted the people of Bahujan Samaj,” he said. “I have had many meetings with Akhilesh Yadav in the last 6 months. After all the discussions, in the end, I felt that Akhilesh Yadav does not want Dalits in this alliance, he only wants Dalit vote banks. He humiliated people. Bahujans For the sake of the society, I tried for a month but the alliance could not happen,” Azad told reporters.

The Bhim Army leader alleged that Akhilesh Yadav could not understand “social justice” and remained silent on matters related to Dalits. Azad said that he tried to join hands with Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and SP to stop the BJP. “My fight for social justice will continue. I will unite the opposition or else I will fight myself,” he said.

“Finally, I felt that Akhilesh ji does not want Dalit leaders in this alliance… he only wants Dalit votes. My fear was that if Dalits vote for him and he forms the government, we will not be able to talk to him. . Tell him about our problems… if we are beaten, if our land is stolen and our women are raped, like Hathras.”
