PM Kisan Yojna: What is New Rule to check balance Status?

PM Kisan: Recently few changes made in Popular PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna. One service included in this scheme has been discontinued by the government. It is sure to have a direct impact on more than 12 crore people. After the closure of this service, the beneficiaries will have difficulty in checking their status.

However, the reason behind discontinuing this facility is to keep the important information of the beneficiaries associated with PM Kisan Yojana safe. After this the data will be safe but there will also be problems.

What are new Changes in PM Kisan Yojna?

Farmers can check their status after registration in PM Kisan scheme. Like application status, how much installment came in bank account etc. Earlier on PM Kisan Portal, any farmer could take information (PM Kisan status check) by entering Aadhaar number, mobile or bank account number. But after this change, PM Kisan will not be able to see the status from the mobile number on the portal. Now status information will be available only from Aadhaar number or bank account number.

How to check status as per new rule?

  • Log on to the website pmkisan.gov.in
  • On the right you will see Farmers Corner
  • Click on Farmers Corner
  • Now click on Beneficiary Status from option
  • To check your status you need to provide some details like your Aadhar number, bank account and your mobile number
  • After completing the above process, if your name is in the list then you will get your status.

Status through Mobile App

To check your name from mobile app, you have to first download PM Kisan mobile app. Once you have downloaded the app, you will have access to all the details.

There was no problem in checking status from mobile number. In such a situation, many people used to easily see the status of others besides themselves. Not only this, other people also used to get a lot of information about the farmers. But after this change it will no longer be possible.

After this change made by the government, there will be a direct impact on 12.44 crore people. Since the beginning of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, 7 changes have happened so far. A few days ago it was made mandatory for the beneficiaries to do e-KYC. But now it has been put on hold.
