At this time, a video on social media is becoming increasingly viral. The first video shows a ladder moving seemingly on its own, mimicking human steps.
The second video shows a wheelchair autonomously moving backwards. Both videos sparked various claims and widespread panic, with many attributing the phenomena to ghosts. However, a closer look reveals a different reality.
Ladder moves through science, not ghosts
The video, which had taken social media by storm, portrayed a ladder in motion, sparking speculation and discussions about its authenticity and potential paranormal involvement.
The ladder appears to be moving by itself in the initial viral video. Science can explain the ladder’s movement contrary to claims of supernatural involvement. Newton’s Inertia Law operates on this phenomenon known as passive dynamic walk. The object maintains its motion due to inertia on a sloping surface, as long as no external force interferes.
However, Dr. Amit Singh Neki, the in-charge of the hospital, who has confirmed the connection, considers the video of the autonomous wheelchair as fake. Dr. Singh explains that someone probably recorded the wheelchair placed on a slope and shared the footage to give the impression of self-propulsion.
Science, not ghosts, explains movement
However, a thorough examination of the situation revealed a scientific explanation rather than supernatural forces. The phenomenon, known as “passive dynamic walk,” is rooted in Newton’s Inertia Law. This law dictates that an object in motion will continue moving on a sloping surface in the absence of external forces.
There’s no ghost involved in the moving ladder video – it’s actually science at play. It’s called “passive dynamic walk” in the world of science. When you give an object a little push on a sloping surface, it keeps moving on its own without needing more pushes. This happens because of Newton’s Inertia Law. This law says that if something is not moving, it will stay still, and if it’s moving, it will keep moving at the same speed unless something else pushes on it. People also call this the law of inertia.
Amid the viral spread of these videos, additional claims emerged linking them to the Jharkhand High Court. However, these assertions have been debunked, as the video of the ladder is not connected to the Jharkhand High Court. The court has relocated to a new building this year, rendering the video’s association baseless.
Dr. Amit Singh, responsible for Base Hospital, has taken a stern stance on these viral videos. Currently, investigators are actively looking into the matter, and they are in the process of reviewing the CCTV footage from the hospital.
Dr. Singh firmly stated his position, warning that individuals found creating misleading videos within the hospital premises will face strict consequences.
According to the Chief Medical Officer, the circulating video does not accurately represent any incident that has taken place within SRMS Medical College. He explicitly confirmed that there has been no documented occurrence of a moving staircase within the post mortem house premises in Bareilly.
