Vikas Parv: CM Shivraj announces 2 lakh crores worth development projects, a list

With forthcoming state elections, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday inaugurated the Vikas Parv from the Barwani and Dhar districts of MP.

With an eye on the forthcoming state elections, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday inaugurated the Vikas Parv from the Barwani and Dhar districts of MP. The CM said that Vikas Parv will be organised in the entire state from July 16 to August 14. 

The festival will inaugurate developmental projects worth around 2 lakh crores, in all the districts of the state. The ‘Vikas Parv’ would also include Janseva Yatras, Jan Samwad and meetings with beneficiaries of various schemes.

The Chief Minister said that Vikas Parv aims to provide benefits of developmental activities and government schemes to all eligible individuals. Hitgrahi sammelans (beneficiary meetings) of various schemes including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Mukhya Mantri Bhu-adhikar, Deendayal Rasoi, Mukhya Mantri Teerth-Darshan, Jal-Jeevan Mission, Swamitva Yojana, Sambal, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Chief Minister’s Farmers-Welfare Scheme, Chief Minister’s Farmers Interest Waiver will be organised. As mentioned, several programmes are scheduled at the district, tehsil and block level etc., in the presence of Ministers, MPs, MLAs and local public representatives in all the districts during the Vikas Parv period. 

The Chief Minister also launched the ‘School Chale Hum Abhiyan-2023-24’ campaign from village Gulana, in the Shajapur district. This programme was accompanied by the dedication of the newly constructed building of CM Rise School, Gulana. While addressing the gatherings in Bhar and Barwani, the CM said that laptops will be distributed to 78 thousand meritorious students of the state, who have secured more than 75 per cent marks in class 12th.

  • Expansion of Bina Refinery and foundation laying of Ken-Betwa Link Scheme.
  • Dedication of 15 irrigation projects worth Rs 7245 crores.
  • Foundation laying ceremony of 13 irrigation projects worth Rs. 36,348 crores.
  • Inauguration of 83 CM Rise Schools.
  • Laying foundations of newly approved medical colleges.
  • Laying foundations for 1207 projects costing more than Rs 21,900 crores for national and state highway and road construction.
  • Urban drinking water projects under AMRUT 2.0 worth Rs 3000 crores are to be undertaken.

Laying foundations of 15,450 group drinking water projects worth Rs 28,471 crores of Jal Jeevan Mission.
