Due to rising COVID-19 virus cases in the country, there is a huge decrease in the supply of oxygen in many states. In such a situation, the free oxygen supply scheme of a person from Mumbai is proving to be a lifeline for many people.
Shahnawaz Sheikh of Mumbai started the oxygen supply scheme by selling his SUV last year, which is still continuing to save the lives of people in the corona virus epidemic.

Shahnawaz Sheikh has become a hero in Malad with his initiative. He is running this campaign through his Unity and Dignity Foundation.
Last year, he sold the Ford Endeavor and used the money to buy oxygen cylinders for the needy. After this, he came into the limelight.
Shahnawaz said, 500 to 600 calls are coming daily “Last year when we started, we provided oxygen to 5,000 to 6,000 people.

This year there is a shortage of oxygen in the city. Where we used to get 50 calls earlier, now we have 500 to 600 are coming.”
Sheikh, who started the oxygen supply by selling the SUV, said that his initiative to supply oxygen to needy people for free during the first wave of covid was launched after the covid-19 death of his friend Kjan.
Sheikh sold his SUV to buy medicines and oxygen cylinders for covid patients.
His initiative is being praised on social media too. Many people tweeted for this work and praised it.
On Friday, India reported a new record high of 3.32 lakh COVID-19 cases and 2,263 deaths in the last 24 hours.
