There is a debate in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh about where Lord Hanuman was born. Both states say that Hanuman was born to them.
A religious leader from Karnataka claims that he was born in Gokarna in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka.
Earlier, Karnataka had claimed that she was born on the Anjanadri hill in Kishkindha in Koppal district.

According to the news published in the Times of India, At the same time, Andhra Pradesh claims that one of the seven hills of the Hanuman birthplace Tirupati is at Anjanadri.
Quoting Raghashwara Bharti Ramayana, the head of the Ramachandrapur Math at Shivamogga, Hanuman ji had told Sita ji that he was born on the banks of the sea in Gokarna.
Bharti said, “On the basis of Ramayana we can say that Gokarna was the birthplace of Hanuman and Kishkindha was his karmabhoomi.”
An expert panel formed by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is expected to submit its study report on the matter on April 21. The panel comprises vedic scholars, archaeologists, and an Isro scientist.

“We’ve mythological and archaeological evidence to prove Anjanadri in Tirupati is where Hanuman was born,” K S Jawahar Reddy, executive officer of TTD Trust Board, said.
Karnataka has embarked on a project to declare Kishkinda’s Anjanadri as Hanuman’s birthplace. The hills of Kishkinda adjoining Hampi have a reference in Ramayana where it is described as the place where Lord Ram and Lakshman met Hanuman.

“Now, we will develop the place as a pilgrimage centre with redemption of the tag of Hanuman Janmasthala,” Koppal district minister BC Patil said.
Now on this whole matter, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) has formed a committee of experts, who will submit their report on 21 April.
The committee has knowledge of Vedic affairs, archaeologist and a scientist of ISRO.
