Case filed against Owaisi
Barabanki SP Yamuna Prasad told news agency ANI that he had used objectionable language against the Prime Minister and Chief Minister Yogi and also violated the Covid protocol during the public meeting. Hence a case has been registered against him.

He said, “Owaisi made provocative speeches against a particular community for disturbing communal harmony. A case has been registered against him against IPC and Epidemic Act.
Political demolition
Earlier, addressing a public meeting at an Imambara near Katra Baradari in Barabanki district of UP, Owaisi on Thursday took a tough stand on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that since he came to power seven years ago, the country has been declared a ‘Hindu’. Efforts are on to build a nation.
Addressing a public meeting in Barabanki, Mr. Owaisi referred to the mosque at Ramsnehi Ghat that was demolished in May by the administration.
“A 100-year-old mosque was martyred in Barabanki…” Mr. Owaisi said as he blamed the administration for not following the law in the demolition and attacked the opposition parties for not speaking out against the incident. The AIMIM leader also called it a “political demolition”.
The Barabanki administration, after demolition in May, without citing any mosque, said that an “illegal residential complex” was located opposite the sub-divisional magistrate’s residence in the Ramsnehi Ghat tehsil complex.
Mr. Prasad said that through his comments that the administration had demolished a 100-year-old mosque and disposed of the rubble, Mr Owaisi “instigated a particular community and tried to disturb communal harmony.”
Owaisi alleged that Dalits and Muslims are being made victims of mob lynching since 2014.
