The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery, known as NEET MDS, is India’s gateway exam for postgraduate dental education. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) conducts the test and manages the entire application process online through its official portal at natboard.edu.in.

Who Can Apply?

Candidates must hold a recognised Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from an approved Indian university or institution. They must also have completed a compulsory rotatory internship of one year at a recognised dental college. Candidates should refer to the official notification for full eligibility conditions once it is released.

Once the registration window opens, candidates can follow these steps on natboard.edu.in.

Visit the official website: natboard.edu.in.

Click on the registration link on the homepage.

Register and login with your credentials.

Then, click on the NEET MDS 2026 Application Form Link.

Enter the required details and documents and pay the registration fee.

What Documents Are Required?

Candidates will be required to submit the following documents:

Valid ID proof (Aadhaar Card/PAN Card/Passport/Driving License/Voter ID)

Recent passport-size photograph

Scanned signature

Dental Registration Certificate (issued by State Dental Council or Dental Council of India)

Internship Completion Certificate

Caste Certificate (if applicable)

BDS Degree Certificate (provisional or permanent)

PwD Certificate (if applicable)

The exam runs for three hours in computer-based test mode. It is divided into two time-bound sections โ€” one of 75 minutes and another of 105 minutes. The full syllabus and subject breakdown will be available in the official information bulletin, which NBEMS is expected to release shortly.
