Travelling Home for Holi? These Two Special Trains Could Be Your Answer

Western Railway has announced two special trains to manage the surge in passenger travel during the Holi festival, operating on the Dadar-New Delhi and Valsad-Mau routes through Ratlam Mandal.

What

Western Railway will operate train number 04001 Dadar-New Delhi Special and train number 05018 Valsad-Mau Special to handle additional passenger load during the Holi holiday period.

Mukesh Kumar Pandey, Public Relations Officer of Ratlam Rail Division, confirmed the schedule. “These trains have been given a stop at Ratlam station,” Pandey said.

Train 04001/04002 will stop at Borivali, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Kota, Gangapur City, Mathura, and Kosi Kalon in both directions.

Train 05018/05017 will stop at Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Nagada, Bhawani Mandi, Ramganj Mandi, Kota, Gangapur City, Bayana, Eidgah Agra, Tundla, Kanpur Central, Ashbagh, Badshah Nagar, Barabanki Junction, Gonda, Basti, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Bhatni, Salempur, and Belthra Road in both directions.

Passengers travelling through Ratlam on the Dadar-New Delhi special will have a five-minute halt at 09.30 on the onward journey and at 10.35 on the return. The Valsad-Mau train will pass through Nagada and Ratlam late at night on the outward run and early morning on the return.
