Rajasthan is experiencing extreme heat, similar to what is usually felt in June. In March itself, the temperature has crossed 41°C in some areas. Several districts, including Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, and Barmer, are already feeling the impact of heat waves. The rising temperatures have made the weather uncomfortable across the state.

However, relief may be on the way. The Meteorological Department has predicted a change in weather from the evening of March 26 to March 27. A new western disturbance is expected to become active, which could bring strong winds and light rain to some parts of the state. This may lead to a slight drop in temperature by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.

On March 24, the maximum temperature in Rajasthan increased by 1 to 3.3 degrees Celsius. Barmer recorded the highest temperature in the state at 41.6°C, making it the hottest district. Other cities also experienced high temperatures. Jalore recorded 40.3°C, Jaisalmer 40°C, Bikaner 39.4°C, Jodhpur 39.3°C, Dungarpur 39°C, Chittorgarh 39.2°C, and Kota 37.3°C. Jaipur remained hot as well, with a maximum temperature of 36.9°C under clear skies.

According to the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, Rajasthan is expected to have dry weather for the next week. However, between the evening of March 26 and March 27, cloud movement and strong winds blowing at 20-30 km/h are expected in the border areas of the state. Some regions may also experience light rainfall, which could slightly reduce the high temperatures.

With temperatures continuing to rise, residents are advised to take necessary precautions. Staying indoors during peak heat hours, drinking plenty of water, and avoiding direct sun exposure can help prevent heat-related illnesses. While a slight relief is expected in the coming days, the overall weather in Rajasthan will likely remain hot.
