India and China military commanders will hold the eighth level of talks on Friday to reduce tension in the eastern sector of Ladakh. This meeting will take place in the Indian territory of Chushul on the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh.
The purpose of this meeting is that the dialogue that has been done before, has been implemented on the ground. Also, how do both the armies return to their respective barracks as before April 2020.
Apart from this, another objective of this meeting is to develop such a mechanism so that there is no conflict situation over the disputed places.
Forces of both the countries stationed on the border tell that about 50,000 soldiers of India are stationed at the hill station of inaccessible height to give a befitting reply to any snowfall of China.
Indian officials say that the Chinese military has also made a mirror deployment, which means that there are as many Chinese soldiers as there are Indian soldiers. India clearly believes that it is the responsibility of China to reduce stress.
Recently, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had said that there is serious tension between India and China and agreements on border management should be respected by both sides.
After the last round of talks, by issuing a joint statement, both sides said that they can move forward in the direction of reducing tension by making dialogue and contacts through military and diplomatic channels.
After the 6th round of military talks, the two sides announced some steps such as not sending more troops to the front, avoiding unilaterally changing positions on the ground and taking no action that would spoil the situation.
