In view of the farmers’ march towards Delhi, the Delhi Police sought permission from the Kejriwal government to convert the nine stadiums into temporary jails. But the Delhi government has rejected this demand of the police.
In the reply given by the Home Department of Delhi, it says, “The demands of the farmers are valid. The central government should accept the demand of farmers immediately.
Putting farmers in jail is not the solution, their movement is absolutely non-violent. It is the constitutional right of every Indian to agitate in a non-violent way, for this they cannot be put in jail. Therefore, the Delhi government rejects this demand of Delhi Police to make the stadium a jail.
Earlier the country’s agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar has said that “the new law was the need of the hour”. This law will bring revolutionary changes in the lives of farmers.
There is confusion among the peasant brothers of Punjab, to clear the matter which is going on at the secretary level, I also talked to the farmers organizations and if the solution is not resolved then the next discussion is held on December 3.
The solution to anything comes out of the conversation, so the government is ready to talk and I want to tell the farmers to postpone their agitation. ”
Farmers’ organizations had called for a ‘Delhi Chalo’ march on Thursday to protest against the three agricultural laws of the central government.
This march started from Punjab was stopped at the border of Haryana state and for this heavy barricades, cranes and trucks were put in the way. It became violent after being stopped on this march.
In many places, including the Singhu Border-Sonipat, farmers were showered with water, tear gas shells were released on them.
Swaraj India convenor Yogendra Yadav who was heading towards Delhi with a group of farmers was detained by the police in Gurugram, Haryana.
Taking all the obstacles behind, farmers from Punjab and Haryana are moving towards the national capital in different vehicles .
