Ground Report | New Delhi: Varun Gandhi BJP; The Bharatiya Janata Party has declared its new national executive just before the assembly elections of five states to be held next year. 

The new National Executive of BJP includes 80 members, in which the names of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Murli Manohar Joshi are also included. Not only this, LK Advani has also been included in the list, but Varun Gandhi’s name is nowhere.

Apart from these 80 leaders, 50 leaders have been included as special invitees in the National Working Committee of the party and 179 leaders have been included as permanent invitees, including the Chief Minister of the party, Deputy Chief Minister, members of the Legislature Party in various Legislative Assemblies and Legislative Councils.

Leaders, former Deputy Chief Ministers, National Spokesperson, National Front President, State In-charge, State Co-in-Charge, State President and General Secretary of State Organization are included. (Varun Gandhi BJP)

With this, JP Nadda has also announced the names of the office bearers of his national team. 13 leaders including former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia have been made National Vice Presidents. Saudan Singh has also been given the responsibility of National Vice President in the organization this time.

During the ongoing agitation against the new agricultural laws of the Center, Varun Gandhi has been speaking in support of farmers continuously. His mother Maneka Gandhi has also been sympathetic towards the farmers.

Former Union minister Birender Singh, who was also seen as a sympathizer, has been removed as an executive member. So does Subramanian Swamy, who until recently was seen as a critic of the party.

On Tuesday, Varun Gandhi had tweeted a rather grainy video of him plowing through a group of peaceful protesters from the back of a black SUV. Four farmers were killed, four others lost their lives in the subsequent violence and arson.
