A case of brutally killing a dog and its three pups have come to light in Bhopal’s Chinar Park. According to reports, the dog has been poisoned and the three pups have been burnt to death.

What is the matter?

According to India Today, A female dog had given birth to three pups in Bhopal’s Chinar Park, but when people came for a walk in the park on Sunday, they saw that the puppies were lying burnt and their mother was also found dead at some distance.

At first, people thought that it might be an accident, but the bodies turning blue indicates that they have been poisoned earlier.

The matter was immediately reported to the nearest MP Nagar police station. On receiving the complaint, the police registered a case under the Animal Cruelty Act, Section 429, and Section 13 of the IPC and launched a manhunt for the culprits.

Section 429 of the Indian Penal Code

States that the punishment for killing, poisoning, maiming, or rendering useless any animal or animals of the value of fifty rupees or upwards (which automatically includes all cattle/beasts of burden) are simple or rigorous imprisonment for up to five years, or with a fine, or with both.

There is a lot of anger among the people after this matter came to the fore. And people on social media are criticizing this brutal act.
