The Madhya Pradesh Government has announced the launch of four new missions to empower critical societal sections—youth, the poor, farmers, and women—starting January 1, 2025. This initiative follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address during the Vikas Bharat Yatra on December 2, 2023, where he emphasized that the nation consists of just four “castes”: the poor, youth, women, and farmers. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that these missions aim to uplift these historically neglected groups.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the Yuva Shakti Mission, youth will be empowered through employment, skill development, and leadership opportunities. In the Garib Kalyan Mission, poor and deprived sections will receive social security, employment, and basic facilities. Women will be educated and made self-reliant and economically and socially empowered in the Women Empowerment Mission. The Farmers Welfare Mission aims to increase farmers’ income and make agriculture more profitable.

The first mission, Yuva Shakti Mission, aims to provide employment, skill development, and leadership opportunities to Madhya Pradesh’s youth. It will include employment-oriented education programs, financial assistance for startups, and guidance to promote entrepreneurship, connecting young individuals with essential digital and technical education.

The second initiative, Garib Kalyan Mission, aims to provide social security and basic facilities for the impoverished and deprived sections of the state. It will focus on developing housing, education, health services, and self-employment opportunities for poor families. It will also implement schemes that offer loans and pensions to support small businesses, enhancing economic stability for these communities.

The Nari Shakti Mission, the third initiative, seeks to empower women by making them economically, socially, and educationally self-reliant. The mission will promote girl child education, foster women’s entrepreneurship, and ensure women’s safety and health.

Finally, the Kisan Kalyan Mission aims to increase farmers’ income and transform agriculture into a profitable venture. It will provide training in modern agricultural techniques and resources for crop insurance, irrigation, seeds, and fertilizers.

Nodal and auxiliary departments will support each of these missions and oversee their execution while keeping an eye on their progress on a specific dashboard. Monthly assessments will ensure effective implementation and address challenges.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said to realize the concept of a public welfare state, a public welfare budget of over Rs 3.5 lakh crore was passed this financial year. A decision has been made to double the budget in the coming years. The government is trying to ensure public participation to strengthen the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the people’s faith gives us strength to make Madhya Pradesh the leading state. When our 8.5 crore people work together towards development, new dimensions will be created.

Chief Minister Yadav expressed confidence that these missions would significantly contribute to the state’s development, aligning with Prime Minister Modi’s vision for empowering the identified “castes.” This approach underscores the Madhya Pradesh government’s commitment to advancing the socio-economic conditions of its vulnerable populations, paving the way for a more equitable future.
