The smart glasses market is evolving, and Halliday is making a bold entrance. At CES 2025, the company unveiled its Halliday AI Glasses, featuring a proactive AI assistant and a hidden display embedded within the frame. Unlike traditional smart glasses with visible projections or external screens, Halliday’s technology keeps the display discreet, ensuring privacy and an uninterrupted field of view.

Weighing 35 grams, these glasses promise all-day comfort with AI-powered functionalities like real-time translation, meeting summaries, and hands-free navigation. Halliday’s approach positions its glasses as a competitor to Meta’s Ray-Ban Meta AI smart glasses and other market wearables.

World’s smallest optical display

The Halliday AI Glasses feature the world’s smallest optical display module integrated into the frame. This eliminates the need for bulky lenses and allows users to install prescription lenses, making them more practical for everyday use.

Another major advantage is the absence of rainbow effects or light leakage, common issues in AR eyewear. This ensures clear visibility outdoors, making these smart glasses a viable alternative to traditional eyewear.

Halliday’s AI assistant is designed to be more than voice-activated—it anticipates user needs. During meetings, the glasses can listen, summarize discussions, and generate notes in real time. Users can access AI-powered real-time translation, making communication across languages seamless.

The glasses require a smartphone connection to access AI features, but the goal is to create an intuitive and natural experience.

Control at your fingertips

Halliday introduces a finger-worn control ring for easy interface navigation. This wearable accessory provides quick access to the glasses’ features, offering an alternative to voice commands. A side touchpad on the frame will also be available in the final product, enhancing user control.

Battery life & practicality

While the AI-powered features are impressive, battery life remains a challenge. Halliday estimates 12 hours of usage on a single charge, meaning users will need to recharge them daily. However, when the battery runs out, the glasses still function as standard prescription eyewear.

Market positioning & price

Halliday is positioning its AI Glasses as a sleek and discreet alternative to competitors like Ray-Ban Meta AI Glasses. Unlike bulkier smart eyewear, Halliday’s thin-frame design makes them more appealing for everyday wear.

The early bird price is set at $369, with a full retail price of $489. Pre-orders will begin shortly after CES 2025, with shipping expected in Q1 2025 (March-April).

Halliday’s entry into the smart glasses market marks an exciting step forward for AI-powered wearables. While the first-generation product has battery limitations, future versions are expected to include a color display and an integrated camera.

As the wearable AI space grows, Halliday must prove its value against industry giants like Meta. However, the Halliday AI Glasses, with their compact, stylish design and practical AI features, have the potential to revolutionise the field of smart eyewear.
