In Bengaluru, an older man was reportedly caught on camera sexually harassing women at Lulu Mall Funtura. The incident is believed to have taken place around 6:30 pm on Sunday at the mall, which is located near the Gopalapura area on Old Mysuru Road.

Yeshwanth Thogataveera, a person who was present at the mall at the time of the incident, recorded a video on his phone and shared it on Instagram, seeking police action against the older man.

Man harassing woman Bangalore

In the viral video, the older man was seen touching a woman’s back at the gaming zone in the mall. The person who shared the video on Instagram wrote, “I recorded this incident at around 6:30 this evening at Lulu Mall Funtura Bangalore.

The man in the video was acting suspiciously towards random women and girls there. Initially, I observed him in a very crowded area, I felt suspicious about him and decided to follow him while recording the video.

The man who recorded the video spoke to Deccan Herald and said that the older man was acting purposefully. He explained, “My sister spotted him acting suspiciously inside the mall. Initially, I thought it might be an accidental gesture, but when I followed him, I discovered that he was groping other women in the crowded mall too. To provide evidence of his actions, I recorded the video.”

“When I first saw him in a very crowded area, I felt suspicious about him. I followed him and recorded a video. I took this evidence to security and lodged a complaint about him. We went in search of him, but missed him. I then informed the mall management and security, promising that they would attempt to find the person and take action. Shame on such people,” stated the whistleblower.

The video, however, created an outrage in social media. The users demanded immediate arrest followed by strict action and raised doubts about women safety in public places.
