A massive landslide near Kasauli has caused the disconnection of several villages in the surrounding area. The landslide, triggered by heavy rains, has caused significant damage to roads and infrastructure, making it difficult for residents to travel to and from these towns.

The Kasauli town in Himachal Pradesh has seen extensive damage due to landslides and heavy rainfall. Several houses in the nearby town of Dochi have been affected, and road connectivity to many towns has been cut from Kasauli.

One of the major incidents occurred when a landslide threatened three buildings under construction in a popular Kasauli tourist area. Tragically, one of these buildings collapsed under the force of the landslide, while the other two sustained significant damage.

The Kimmughat-Chakki Mor highway, a major transportation route, has been closed due to landslides. Unstable conditions have made it unsafe for vehicles and pedestrians to travel on this route.

Furthermore, the Kalka-Shimla National Highway 5 has also faced challenges as stones and rubble have come loose due to heavy rains. Consequently, sections of the hilly lane have been closed to ensure the safety of commuters.

In a horrifying incident that was recorded and subsequently shared on various social media platforms, a car was precariously close to being struck by a falling rock along the Parwanoo Shimla highway in Datyar Village, Himachal Pradesh. The captured footage provides a chilling glimpse into the split-second when the mountain debris forcefully collided with the road surface.

The car, which was travelling from Shimla to Chandigarh, managed to miss the large stone by just a few centimetres. Had it not been for this lucky break, the consequences could have been catastrophic. Fortunately, all the passengers inside the vehicle were unharmed.
