Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said his government aims to attract major investments in the state’s power and renewable energy equipment manufacturing sector. He was speaking at an interactive session titled Investment Opportunities in Power and Renewable Energy Equipment Manufacturing and White Goods in Madhya Pradesh, held in Mumbai.

Dr. Yadav said the main goal of the session was to promote Phase-2 of the state-of-the-art Manufacturing Zone for Power and Renewable Energy Equipment at Mohasa-Babai in Narmadapuram district. “We are creating one of India’s most advanced renewable energy equipment hubs,” he said. “The last date to apply for land allotment is October 12, 2025.”

He added that the new phase offers significant opportunities for investors in clean energy and manufacturing. “We want investors to see Madhya Pradesh as their strategic base for sustainable industrial growth,” he said.

Simplified industrial setup attracting investors

Dr. Yadav said the process of setting up industries in Madhya Pradesh has been made faster and easier. “Under the Ease of Doing Business, 18 new policies were implemented during this year’s Global Investors Summit in Bhopal,” he said. “Due to these simplified systems, investment is flowing rapidly into the state.”

He added that regular meetings are held to address industry concerns and ensure that new policies reach every trader and entrepreneur. “Industrial conclaves at the divisional level have connected smaller cities to industry,” he said.

Dr. Yadav said the Mumbai session received investment proposals worth ₹19,900 crore in the renewable energy sector and ₹54,400 crore in other sectors, totaling ₹74,300 crore. “These investments have the potential to generate more than 7,000 jobs,” he said.

He added that the state government will make every effort to ensure these projects are executed on time. “Our goal is to boost capital investment and create employment for the youth of Madhya Pradesh,” he said.

Collaboration with Maharashtra

Dr. Yadav invited entrepreneurs from Maharashtra to invest in Madhya Pradesh, describing it as a partnership built on shared history and mutual growth. “Maharashtra’s industrial expertise and Madhya Pradesh’s limitless potential together can accelerate India’s progress,” he said.

The Chief Minister recalled the historical connection between the two states, referring to the contributions of Shivaji Maharaj and the Scindia, Holkar, and Pawar families. “Shivaji Maharaj played a key role in the cultural pride of Ujjain, especially in relation to the Mahakal temple,” he said. “We want our industrial and trade relations with Maharashtra to grow as strongly as our shared heritage.”

More than 400 investors and representatives from major industries attended the Mumbai session. The focus sectors included renewable energy, IT, white goods, food processing, textiles, pharmaceuticals, tourism, and logistics.

Prominent attendees included Dilip Shanghvi, Chairman of Sun Pharma; Neel C. Raheja, President of CII; Shrishtiraj Ambashtha, CMD of ECGC; Satish Pai, Managing Director of Hindalco; Andre Eckholt, Managing Director of Hettich; Ajit Kumar Jain, Managing Director of Ipca Labs; and Ravikant Kapoor, Vice President of FIEO.

One-on-one meetings were held between investors and state officials to discuss potential projects. Sectors such as textiles, automobiles, electronics, renewable energy, and pharmaceuticals saw significant interest. Dr. Yadav assured participants of full support from the state. “Investors were assured cooperation from the government to realize their plans,” he said.

A new industrial partnership

Dr. Yadav said the session in Mumbai was highly successful, with constructive discussions and strong interest from industrial houses. “This dialogue is not just about trade but the beginning of a new, lasting industrial partnership between Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh,” he said.

He added that today’s investors value the “speed of doing business” as much as ease and cost. “I’m proud to say that Madhya Pradesh is delivering on all fronts,” he said. “Just as Mumbai’s local trains are the lifeline of the city, we want our investor-friendly policies to become the lifeline of your business growth.”

Dr. Yadav said the state’s reforms are aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Viksit Bharat @2047.” He invited investors to be part of Madhya Pradesh’s development journey. “Madhya Pradesh is ready to lead in clean energy and advanced manufacturing,” he said. “We want Maharashtra’s investors to be strategic partners in this growth story.”

He concluded by saying that Mumbai, the financial capital of India, has now become a witness to Madhya Pradesh’s industrial aspirations. The Chief Minister said the enthusiasm shown by investors reflects their confidence in the state’s policies and its growing reputation as a destination for high-value investments.
