Read in Hindi: A very frightening incident has come to light from Dumka in Jharkhand. According to media reports, in unrequited love, a girl named Ankita Singh was burnt alive by a boy named Shahrukh by sprinkling petrol.

Ankita Singh died during treatment in the hospital. Now, this incident is discussed at the national level. In the case, the police arrested the accused Shahrukh, and one of his friends. Dumka is completely closed and section 144 is in force.

Who is Shahrukh?

According to the police, Shahrukh’s family is a native of the Shikaripada block of Dumka district, but they have been living in Dumka by building a kutcha house for the last several years.

Shahrukh, who burnt Ankita Singh alive, is a resident of the same locality where Ankita used to live. Shahrukh’s father died long ago. The financial condition of Ankita and Shahrukh’s family is almost the same. Both the family members live in a mud house.

After the incident, the people of Shahrukh’s house are still silent and do not want to speak anything on this issue.

Ankita Singh Murder Timeline

A boy named Shahrukh has been arrested by the police for burning alive a girl named Ankita Singh by pouring petrol in Dumka, Jharkhand. Section 144 has been imposed in Dumka due to the apprehension of disturbing the communal atmosphere. The Hindu organization is continuously protesting after the death of Ankita. Hemant Soren’s government also seems to be surrounded by this matter.

Ankita had spoken to an administration official (executive magistrate) and the local media before her death at the Phoolo Jhano Medical College in Dumka on the morning of 23 August. That video is now viral. According to the information, Ankita was sent to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi for better treatment, but Ankit died.

A video of Ankita Singh has surfaced. In this video, she is seen saying, “उसका नाम शाहरुख़ (Shahrukh) है। वह 10-15 दिनों से हमको तंग कर रहा था। हम स्कूल जाते थे तो आगे-पीछे करता था। मेरा नंबर किसी से ले लिया था। बोलता था कि बात नहीं करेगी तो ऐसे करेंगे, वैसे करेंगे। बात नहीं करेगी तो तुमको मारेंगे। वह बहुत लड़कियों से बात करता है। धमकी दिया था हमको। हम पापा को बताए थे। तब तक चार बजे सुबह ऐसा करके (आग लगाकर) चला गया।”

After this incident in Dumka, the atmosphere became tense. BJP, Bajrang Dal, and other Hindutva organizations protested on the streets announcing the bandh. The police administration has imposed section 144 to maintain law and order. There is heavy deployment of police at every intersection. Local journalists say that some people are trying to give it a communal color.
