The RE-Invest summit, inaugurated yesterday by Prime Minister Modi in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, has seen significant commitments from renewable energy developers. These pledges, made through “Shapath Patra” agreements, outline substantial capacity generation obligations and investments up to 2030.

Major Commitments

Capacity Generation Commitments

  1. Reliance Industries (RIL): 100,000 MW

  2. NTPC Ltd.: 41,300 MW

  3. ReNew: 40,000 MW

  4. Adani Green Energy: 38,300 MW

  5. Hero Future Energies: 28,250 MW

  6. Axis Energy Ventures: 27,900 MW

  7. Serentica Renewables: 26,000 MW

  8. Avaada: 25,300 MW

  9. Ampin Energy: 21,000 MW

  10. Greenko: 20,000 MW

  11. SJVN Green Energy: 15,500 MW

  12. Tata Power Renewable Energy: 15,234 MW

  13. SECI: 10,000 MW

Other Notable Commitments

  1. Zelestra: 9,850 MW

  2. NHPC: 9,558 MW

  3. O2 Power: 9,500 MW

  4. Torrent Power: 8,710 MW

  5. Azure Power: 7,052 MW

  6. R P Sanjiv Goenka: 6,975 MW

  7. Juniper Green Energy: 6,230 MW

  8. Engie Energy: 6,050 MW

Manufacturing Commitments

  1. Reliance Industries: 

  2. 20,000 MW of integrated solar PV annually

  3. 20,000 MW of glass capacity

  4. ReNew: 6,000 MW of ingot-wafer, cells, and modules annually

  5. Avaada: 5,000 MW of ingot-wafer, cells, and modules annually

  6. Tata Power: 5,000 MW annual manufacturing capacity for cells and modules

Event Highlights

– Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Shri Prahlad Joshi, urged stakeholders to invest in India’s rapidly growing renewable energy sector.
– The event was attended by several dignitaries, including:
  – Governor of Gujarat, Acharya Devvrat
  – Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Patel
  – Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Goa

The summit is scheduled to continue until 18th september.
