After the increase in cases of corona virus infection in Maharashtra, the urban area of Nagpur will be fully locked down from March 15.
District in-charge minister Nitin Raut has said on Thursday that a complete lockdown will be imposed in the urban area from March 15 to 21.
Only essential services will continue. Earlier, from last month till March 7, all schools, colleges and coaching institutes in the district were closed.

While the markets were allowed to open on Saturdays and Sundays, a complete lockdown has been announced now. The state has already banned social, political and religious events.
The total number of infected people increased to 2252057 after the maximum 13,659 new cases of corona virus infection were reported on a single day this year in Maharashtra on Wednesday.

The health officer said that after the death of 54 more patients, the total number of dead has increased to 52,610.
At the same time, a total of 243726 cases of corona virus infection have been reported in Nagupar. So far 4,877 people have died due to the epidemic in the district.
The state received 13,395 cases of corona virus infection on October 8 last year. Since then the decline in daily cases of infection was seen.
The number of people recovering from infection has increased to 20,99,207 after 9,913 people recovered on Wednesday. The number of under-treated patients in the state is 99,008.

The number of covid-19 patients in Mumbai has increased to 3,37,134. And after the death of five patients, the number of dead has reached 11,515.

Dr. Pradeep Vyas, Principal Secretary, Health Department, sent a letter in this regard to all the district administrations on March 3 and has been instructed to take immediate steps on these points.
The action plan also envisages bringing together civil society and religious leaders to strictly follow the guidelines regarding social, political and religious gatherings and motivate people to follow covid-19 anti-infection practices.
