Lockdown extended for one more week in Delhi

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has extended the lockdown in Delhi for one more week. The Chief Minister said that this time’s lawdown will be more stringent.

Kejriwal said that Corona’s infection rate before the lockdown was 35 percent. That means 100 people were getting corona test, then 35 people were being found infected.

The Chief Minister of Delhi said that now the infection rate has increased to 23% after the lockdown. Arvind Kejriwal said that lockdown is being increased by force. This time the lockdown will be strict. The metro will not run from tomorrow i.e. Monday.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday announced that the lockdown in Delhi has been extended for 7 days (till the morning of 17 May). During this time, Delhi Metro  services will be suspended.

The CM said that there will be strictness in this lockdown. He said that there is no time to relax. If given, then the situation will be bad. So the lockdown is being extended till next week.

Delhi on Saturday, more than 17,300 new cases of corona virus were reported, while 332 more patients died during this period. But after a long time, it is a matter of relief that the number of healthy people reached 20,160. The decline in active cases has been registered due to increase in the number of people recovering in comparison to new cases in Delhi. On Saturday, active cases in Delhi reached 3,128 and decreased to 87,907.
