Delhi will float global tender for coronavirus vaccine

Ground Report | News Desk: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has said that the BJP is asking the state governments to buy the vaccine from the international market, then what will the central government do.

Sisodia said, “The BJP says that the Delhi government should get an international tender for the vaccine. Does this mean that state governments will have to buy the vaccine from the international market? Then what will the central government do? “

Sisodia wrote on Twitter, “BJP says that all states take out their global tender and fight each other for vaccine in international market. If all the states fight each other for vaccine in the international market, then it will not bring disrepute to our country? ”

He further urged the Centre to launch a nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive on the line of the pulse polio campaign.

Earlier during the day, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wrote to PM Narendra Modi and pointed out the concerns over vaccine shortage in Delhi and said that the Centre should share the vaccine formula of the two manufacturers with other capable pharmaceutical companies to scale up production in the country.

Earlier, BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi had said that the government of Arvind Kejriwal is talking about giving vaccine to all by advertising, but they have not drawn any global tender.

According to news agency ANI, Lekhi said, “They have not withdrawn any tenders, nor have they made any other arrangements for vaccination.” If they have done so, show a copy of the tender. “

She alleged that the Delhi government had not installed a single ICU bed in the last one year.

She said, “Only the ventilator from the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund is being used. The Aam Aadmi Party spent Rs 1-1.5 crore on oxygen, they may also get it from their MLA’s house. “

This series of allegations and counter-allegations between the Center and Delhi Government has been going on continuously for the last several days.
