The meeting, held at the residence of National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah here, was called on the invitation of an all-party meeting to decide the strategy for the alliance.
Abdullah said he would attend the meeting with PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti and others. Alliance president Farooq Abdullah said, “The leaders of the PAGD (People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration) will attend the all-party meeting called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
The People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) announced that a team led by Farooq Abdullah and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti and Amalgam spokesperson Mohammad Yusuf Tarigami will participate in an all-party meeting convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on June 24.

“We have received an invitation from the Prime Minister and we are going to attend it,” Farooq Abdullah told reporters here after a meeting of PAGD leaders at his residence, News Agency GNS reported.
NC chief and Member of Parliament from Srinagar Farooq said, “We are confident that we will take our stand before the Prime Minister and the Home Minister.” “When the meeting ends, we will tell you what we have done there, what we said, and what was the reaction,” he said.
The PAGD is an alliance of six parties in Jammu and Kashmir, including the NC and the PDP, formed after the Indian government’s August 2019 decision to abrogate Article 370 and bifurcate Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories. was. The group’s public stand is for the restoration of the special status of the ‘state’ of Jammu and Kashmir.

Asked about those who represented PAGD in the meeting, Farooq said he himself, Mehbooba Mufti and MY Tarigami would attend the meeting. PAGD spokesperson Tarigami said that “Will represent people’s aspirations, seek what is ours and what will remain ours”.
PAGD member Muzaffar Shah also announced that there would be no agreement on Article 370 and Article 35A, which were abrogated by the ruling government in New Delhi on 5 August 2019, while security and communication were shut across Jammu and Kashmir. and thousands of people were detained or arrested.
