Notices to fill bonds worth Rs 50 lakh issued to some farmer leaders in Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh, amid complaints of preventing farmers and others from participating in agitations against agricultural legislation has been done.

On the notice issued, Bharatiya Kisan Union District President Rajpal Singh Yadav said that we are in a democratic country, the government cannot stop us from opposing. This is a non-violent protest. Why is the administration so afraid of farmers’ opposition? He issued a notice of Rs 50 lakh as if we are a terrorist. They know that we do not have that much money.
Rajpal Singh Yadav says that most of the farmers participating in this demonstration are from Chandausi and Sinhapur areas, we called for a protest from 26 November in which around 400 people gathered at a square in Sambhal. At the same time, another farmer of Bharatiya Kisan Union, Sanjeev Gandhi said Before sending the notice, the police were circling our villages to keep track of our movements. Whenever we call a gathering for a siege or demonstration, the police come to our houses to arrest us. We managed to go to Delhi on 28 November for a day. We sometimes leave our house before the arrival of the police and even sleep in the fields the next day to wake up and protest.
Jaiveer Singh another farmer, who was given notice, said, “Protests are taking place all over the country but nowhere will it be heard that the administration is threatening them Rs 50 lakh. This is sheer harassment. “
While giving the reason for issuing notice to these 6 leaders, SDM Dependra Yadav said, “In connection with what is happening in Delhi and other farmers movement, these six people go from village to village and misinform the farmers, which can disturb the peace. The notice is part of the process and has been issued to only a handful of people who have been actively participating in the protests.
