There have been nine rounds of military talks between India and China over disengagement in the eastern Ladakh region, but meanwhile the Chinese military is not giving any indication of easing tensions on the 3,488 km long Line of Actual Control (LAC).

According to Hindustan Times , the Chinese military has increased deployment of artillery guns, self-propelled howitzers and surface-to-missile units in Tibet.

According to Indian National Security Planners, the PLA is making new deployments in all three sectors and sending troops and heavy military equipment from one place to another, as well as building new ones in Fang areas of Pangong Tso.

According to the Times of India, India is going to increase surveillance on LAC amid tension on the border.

India is going to increase its surveillance capacity along the northern borders with China. At the same time, a large number of drones, sensors, military surveys and electronic warfare equipment will be deployed so that PLA’s activities can be monitored and steps are also taken to detect intrusions.

The source said that the acquisition and induction plans range from mini drones and ultra-large-range serviceslance cameras for high-altitude areas to far-neighbor aircraft systems for MALE (Medium Altitude Long Endurance) and HALE (High Altitude Long Endurance) Till then.

Significantly, the Army has also signed a deal worth Rs 140 crore with an Indian company last month. Under this deal, switch drones of advanced version will be purchased. “The arrival of such drones will bring a major change in our surveillance system at the strategic level. Battalion commanders and troops on the LAC will get clearer pictures of the moment,” a source said.

Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has almost developed the Border Observation and Surveillance System (BOSS). It has several sensor systems installed.
