Ground Report | New Desk: The Central Government has filed its reply in the High Court to continue the work of the Central Vista Project in the capital Delhi amid the Corona epidemic. 

In its response, the Center has defended the continuation of the work of the Central Vista Project and termed the petition filed to stop it as “misuse of law”. The Center has also demanded the court to dismiss the petition.

The Center has filed its reply in the Delhi High Court regarding the petition to stop the work of the project. Now the court has said that it will hear the case tomorrow i.e. on Wednesday.

The Central Government has said in its reply, “The petition filed to stop this project is a gross misuse of the legal process and another attempt to hang the project.”

The Central Government has told the Delhi High Court that as per the DDMA order issued on 19 April 2021, construction work can be continued during the curfew period at the places where the laborers are staying at the same site.

On Monday, the Delhi High Court was requested for an early hearing on a PIL filed to ban the construction of the Central Vista. Now the Delhi high court court will hear the matter on Wednesday. 

The petition was filed by a translator Anya Malhotra and historian Sohail Hashmi. The petition states that they are worried about the risk of laborers working in the project being infected with the corona virus.
