American poet Louise Gluck has been awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature for the year 2020. Lewis is bestowed with this honor for his unparalleled poetic voice. His voice that universalizes personal existence along with beauty.

Poet Louis Gluck made his debut with ‘Firstborn’ in 1968 and soon became one of the most prominent poets in American contemporary literature. He has published a collection of twelve poems and some essays.

The 10 million Swedish crown ($1.1 million) prize is named after dynamite inventor and businessman Alfred Nobel and has been awarded since 1901 for achievements in science, literature and peace in accordance with his will.
