Ground Report | New Delhi: Ukraine War What Happened So Far; This Friday, the 11th, President Biden reinforced his position of support for the Ukrainians. He was keen to point out, however, that the US army will not wage war against Russia in Ukraine, but that they are ready to defend NATO member countries.

“The direct confrontation between NATO and Russia is the Third World War, something that we must strive to avoid”, declared the American in a conference of the Democratic Party.

Ukraine War What Happened So Far

  • On Saturday morning, sirens of attacks were heard in many cities including Kiev, the capital of Ukraine.
  • Ukraine has once again accused Russia of not allowing people to get out safely from the southern city of Mariupol.
  • The Ukrainian government says the situation in Mariupol is getting worse. So far 1,500 people have died here in Mariupol and those who have survived have neither food nor water. At the same time, they have no other option but to spend the cold without electricity.
  • At the same time, on Saturday, Ukrainian officials said that an agreement has been reached to build a humanitarian corridor to evacuate people from the country’s northeastern city of Sumi.
  • Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has released a video appealing to Russian mothers not to send their children to war.
  • US President Joe Biden has said that he will not send his troops to Ukraine to take part in the war against Russia. However, he said that he would increase the sanctions on Russian nobles.
  • Russia claimed US activities of biological weapons in Ukraine at a meeting of the United Nations Security Council. However, Russia did not provide any evidence in its favor.
  • Ukraine has said that Belarus can support Russia in the war in the coming days.
