A video from Kaushambi Police is circulating widely on social media, showing a police officer behaving inappropriately with independent candidate Cheddu Chamar.

The incident, captured on video, has sparked outrage among internet users. Kaushambi SP Brajesh Kumar Srivastava has initiated an investigation into the matter.

Cheddu, accompanied by his mother Dhanpatia, wife Urmila, and eight other family members as his proposers, arrived at the Collectorate to file his nomination papers for the Kaushambi Lok Sabha constituency.

Before entering the Collectorate, he left his placard and drum outside. However, upon exiting after filing his nomination, Cheddu began beating his drum to attract attention.

This action reportedly irked Circle Officer (city) Satyendra Kumar Tiwari, who allegedly pushed Cheddu and forcibly removed him from the premises, while also making derogatory remarks.

Tiwari is reported to have said, “Tumhari aukat kya hai,” which translates to “What is your status?”

The incident was captured on video by locals and quickly went viral on social media platforms. Tiwari defended his actions, stating that Cheddu was violating the model code of conduct by raising slogans and beating drums within 100 meters of the nomination spot.
