Someone sent a bomb threat to the Ordnance Factory in Itarsi on Monday night. The factory makes bombs and missiles for the Indian Army. Police teams rushed to the factory immediately. They sealed off the entire area. ASP Abhishek Rajan reached the spot to oversee the security arrangements. Authorities called a bomb squad from Chhindwara to check the premises. This is the second bomb threat the factory has received this year. Officials registered a complaint and launched an investigation to find who sent the threatening email.

Who received the threat?

The Ordnance Factory management in Itarsi received the bomb threat through an email on their official email address.

What happened?

Someone sent a threatening email to the factory. Police immediately responded. They deployed forces from four police stations, Pathrauta, Itarsi, Rampur, and Tawanagar. Officers cordoned off the area and called a bomb disposal squad.

Where did this happen?

The threat targeted the Ordnance Factory in Itarsi, Narmadapuram district, Madhya Pradesh. This factory produces critical defense equipment for India’s armed forces.

When did authorities receive the threat?

The factory received the threatening email on Monday night. Police responded immediately and increased security overnight.

Why does this matter?

Someone sent a similar fake threat to the same factory in April. Authorities cannot ignore any threat to a defense facility. The factory produces weapons for the army, making it a sensitive location.

How are police handling this? SP Sai Krishna Thota said investigators are tracing the email source. Local bomb disposal teams were protecting VIPs in Betul, Gwalior, and Burhanpur, so authorities called a squad from Chhindwara. Police registered an official complaint at Pathrota police station and increased factory security.
