Nearly 35 residential areas across Bhopal will experience scheduled power outages ranging from two to six hours on Friday tomorrow due to essential maintenance work by the power distribution company.

Major localities including Char Imli, Kailash Nagar, Basant Vihar, Transport Nagar, Rohit Nagar, Anantpur, Jatkhedi, and Indra Vihar Colony will be among the affected areas. The power company has advised residents to complete any electricity-dependent tasks beforehand to minimize inconvenience during the scheduled maintenance period.
The planned disruptions will occur in phases throughout the day, with the earliest cuts beginning at 9 AM and the latest extending until 4 PM. Different neighborhoods will experience varying outage durations depending on the scope of maintenance work required in their respective zones.
Authorities have issued advance notice to help residents prepare for the temporary power suspension. The maintenance work is part of routine infrastructure upkeep aimed at ensuring reliable electricity supply in the long term.
Residents are encouraged to charge essential devices, plan cooking schedules accordingly, and make necessary arrangements for backup power if required. The power company expects normal supply to resume immediately after the completion of maintenance activities in each zone.
