Ground Report | New Delhi: BJP is talking about Mathura; Bhartiya Janta Party is using Mathura as a board to serve its political plans in the impending 2022 state assembly election in Uttar Pradesh.  In a bid to form a government for the second consecutive time in Uttar Pradesh, the BJP is focusing on its Hindutva program and started its campaign. With Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visiting the pilgrimage centre 18 times.

Recently, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath joined the growing list of his party leaders who have spoken of Mathura as the next destination saying that if the BJP has delivered on its promises on Ayodhya and Kashi, Mathura will not be left behind either.

Addressing a public meeting in Amroha in western UP, Yogi who had so far refrained from reporting the Mathura temple issue reminded people that the BJP had honoured its commitment to the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Mathura, the western city of UP believed to be the birthplace of the Hindu god Krishna, has an important mosque, the Shahi Eidgah, located next to the Krishna Janmabhoomi (the site believed to be the birthplace of Krishna). The mosque has been at the centre of a legal battle with Hindu groups claiming Eidgah was built on land where Lord Krishna was born.

Recently, BJP councillor Madan Mohan Srivastava said that our party has just a single goal, ‘Assuming the country remains in the heart with positive energy, the country is successful by overcoming every one of the difficulties’.

He further said that all things considered, individuals of Mathura realize that consistent work is being done here. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister, Keshav Prasad Maurya, who mixed a debate in survey bound Uttar Pradesh by tweeting that arrangements were in progress for developing a great sanctuary in Mathura on the lines of Ayodhya and Varanasi, is the primary senior Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) pioneer standing firm on an authority foothold in government to offer such an expression in the approach the following Parliamentary political race.
