Meerganj Assembly constituency is one of the 403 constituencies of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. It is a part of the Bareilly district and one of the five assembly constituencies in the Bareilly (Lok Sabha constituency). The constituency is assigned identification number 119. There are two blocks in this constituency Fatehgarh west and Meerganj.

BJP candidate DC Verma
He was born on 25th December 1966. His birthplace is Pilibhit. He is currently at age 53. He has completed his post-graduation in medical sciences. By profession, he is basically a Veteraninan and Social Worker. He is one of the leading members of the Up Meerganj constituency and has also won Vidhansabha. His father’s name is PL Verma. He’s married to Namita Verma who is Electrical Engineer by profession.
He contested the election of Meerganj, Uttar Pradesh in the year 2017 and he won. Nowadays, he is associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party. He does not have any criminal record. At present, he’s representative of Bhartiya Janta Party from Meerganj in UP Elections 2022.
SP Candidate Sultan Baig
Sultan Baig is an Indian politician and a member of the Sixteenth Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh in India. He represents the Meerganj constituency of Uttar Pradesh and is a member of the Samajwadi Party.
He was born in Uttar Pradesh. He attained post-graduation in the master of science (agriculture) from Pantnagar University, Uttrakhand. In his Political career, he has been an MLA for three terms. He is currently representative of the Samajwadi Party from the Meerganj constituency in UP Elections 2022.
Congress Candidate Mohammad Ilyas
Mohammad Ilyas was born on 1st April 1954. His father’s name was Late Chaudhary Rahim Khan. He has three brothers and four sisters. His father Late Chaudhary Rahim Khan was also elected Member of parliament from Faridabad (Lok Sabha constituency) in 1984 and remained a member of parliament till death on 18 December 1987. He was also elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly three-time is in 1967, 1972 and last in 1982 from Nuh( Vidhan Sabha Constituency.
He is married to Anwari Begum and has 6 children. He did a Bachelor of Arts from Jamia Millia Islamia. Ilyas has also worked as elected director Central Co-Operative Bank Ltd Gurgaon in 1981. He was an Elected Member of the District Advisory Committee Gurgaon in 1982. He served as the Director of Primary land development Bank Ferozepur Jhirka in 1984. Also, he was the Member of the surplus Committee Ferozepur Jhirka. He has actively participated in 20 point Programme of worthy Prime ministers to improve the condition of SCs, BCs & Minorities residing in the villages.
BSP Candidate Kunwar Bhanu Pratap Singh Ganwar
Bhanu Pratap Singh was a Member of Parliament in the eighth Lok Sabha from Pilibhit Constituency elected in 1984. He is the son of Daulat Rai Yadubansi, who was an agriculturist by profession in Agras Village, which comes under the limits of Bareilly district, Uttar Pradesh.
Bhanu Pratap Singh studied up to High School level in Bareilly and thereafter, he did his medical degree from Ayurved College, Pilibhit, He married Gayatri Devi in the month of May, 1956 and had two sons and one daughter from her. He is representative of BSP from Meerganj Constituency in UP Elections 2022.
