Jalalabad assembly of Shahjahanpur district is one of the important seats in Uttar Pradesh. This seat has been a stronghold of SP. Although BSP also has influence in this seat. BJP has not been able to win even once from this seat till date. In the 2017 elections, despite the Modi wave in the entire state, the SP had won here. In this election, SP’s Sharadveer Singh defeated BJP’s Manoj Kashyap by 9297 votes.

BJP Candidate Hari Prakash Verma
Hariprakash Verma, a resident of Shahjahanpur Malgodam Road Colony, was serving the responsibility of an active worker in the party for nearly two and a half decades. After becoming the city minister in the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad in the year 2000, from 2003 to 2006, Amroha held the post of organization minister in the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad in Bijnor. From 2010 to 2013, he served the party by being the District President of BJP Yuva Morcha.
SP Candidate Neeraj Nalinesh
Neeraj Nalineesh is the candidate of Samajwadi Party (SP) in Jalalabad, Uttar Pradesh.
BSP Candidate Anirudh Singh Yadav
Anirudh Singh Yadav is the canditate of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and he is 32 years old. Talking to reporters after nomination, Anirudh Yadav (Deepak) said that since last 8 months, door to door campion is being done. The security of other candidates will be forfeited in this election. Everyone will be reduced to 20 to 30 thousand. He claims that he will get victory by about 60 thousand votes.
INC Candidate Gurmeet Kaur
Gurmeet Kaur is the canditate of Indian National Congress (INC) .
The date of polling will begin on 14 February and the date of counting will be on 10 March 2022.
