MP Mining Conclave 2024 Aims to Boost Investment in Resource Sector

The Madhya Pradesh government has organized a two-day ‘Madhya Pradesh Mining Conclave-2024′ to explore the potential of the mining sector and encourage investment in the state. The event is being held at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Center in Bhopal until October 18.

Conclave Inauguration

Chief Secretary Anurag Jain’s inaugural presentation. The conclave’s agenda was predominantly focused on capacity expansion and investment promotion. The event emphasizes AI, ML, and drone technology in mining operations, seemingly prioritizing efficiency over environmental considerations. 

Key Points of the Conclave

  1. Discussions on mining capacity, technological innovations, and sustainable investment promotion.
  2. Exploration of mineral resources, investment opportunities, and potential in petroleum and hydrocarbon sectors.
  3. Technical sessions focusing on mining safety, smart technology, and digitalization.
  4. Possibilities of using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in mining.
  5. Deliberations on drone technology and digital solutions.

Investors’ Visit:

  1. A delegation of investors from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, met with Industries Minister Chetan Kashyap.
  2. Meetings were arranged between investors and officials from the MSME department.
  3. The minister instructed officials to acquaint investors with the state’s industry-friendly policies.
