Time for Code Red in Delhi, What are GRAP level 4 restrictions?

Code Red : After the arrival of more than 20 thousand corona cases in a day in Delhi, the situation of total shutdown seems to be forming. Regarding this, DDMA will hold a meeting on Monday and decide whether a red alert should be issued in Delhi?

Let us tell you that a Yellow Alert has been issued in Delhi under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), in which weekend and night curfew has been announced. Under the new Covid curbs, the Delhi government has shut all educational institutes, cinemas, and gyms. It had directed shops of non-essential items to open on an odd-even basis.

If the positivity exceeds 5%, a red alert will be issued in which all other services except essential services will be stopped.

What Code Red Means?

GRAP ( Level 4 Red) includes topmost level of restrictions, including a total curfew, in which all non-essential shops, government offices, metro, public transport will be shut.

GRAP LEVEL 4 RESTRICTIONS

Red: If the test positivity rate breaches 5 per cent two days in a row, or the city records 16,000 new cases in a week. It will also kick in if average occupancy of oxygen beds in hospitals remains 3,000 or above over a week.

Restrictions:

  • Total lockdown
  • only essential services like grocery, milk, medicines allowed.
  • 15 Guests allowed in marriage and funeral
  • Total restriction on public movement.

What govt. Said?

Recently, the Health Minister of Delhi told the workers that there will be no total lockdown in Delhi. Rest assured. Only weekend curfew will continue. Construction work will not be stopped.

But if we see the current situation, then due to the rapidly growing corona, a red alert may be issued. In which all non-essential activities will stop.
