Ground Report | New Delhi: New startup policy in Delhi; Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today released the eighth annual budget, focusing on employment. Calling it the ‘Rozgaar Budget’, Sisodia tabled a budget of Rs 75.8 crore in the Assembly for the 2022-23 fiscal year.
New startup policy in Delhi
Presenting the budget, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said, “In our new startup policy, the Delhi government will set up an incubation centre, organize conferences for marketing mentoring and investment. Apart from this, the Delhi government will also connect them with banks and investors for finance.”
Sisodia said “Our ‘Startup’ policy will remove all the hurdles that come in the way of young entrepreneurs. There is a provision of Rs 50 crore in this year’s budget for the implementation of the new startup policy”.

Innovate in retail markets
Manish Sisodia said, ‘Delhi will encourage dishes like parathas, charts. We will identify, develop and establish the major food hubs of Delhi as a heritage of Delhi. Food trucks will come up with a policy. Under this, the night economy of Delhi will increase and employees will also increase.
He further added, “We are coming up with a plan to innovate in the retail markets of Delhi. We will invite people from abroad and organize Delhi Retail Shopping Festival. In addition, to connect shopkeepers with customers, we will develop the Delhi Bazaar portal. He added in the last seven years, 24 hours electricity was available, education sector improved, ease of doing facility was given.
