An underage girl was allegedly gang raped by six people, including the President of Chhattisgarh’s Manendragarh district Congress youth wing, at a hotel in Bilaspur four months ago.
According to reports, the incident is said to have occurred in the Chirmiri area of Mahendragadh district four months ago. The girl was kidnapped by Mohammed Shahanawaz and 5 others and taken to a hotel in Bilaspur.
The girl was then brutally gang-raped by the accused, including the leader of Congress. The minor did not have the courage at that time to file a complaint against the six accused.
However, recently the girl went to the Chirmiri police station with her mother and she alleged that the six men took her to a hotel in Bilaspur of Chhattisgarh and raped her. She filed a police report and demanded justice.
The police investigated the matter and arrested the leader of the Youth Congress, Mohammed Shahnawaz, and three others involved in the case. Police have also launched a manhunt to catch the other two accused who are on the run at this time.
Now, based on the victim’s complaint, Chirmiri Police have registered a case under IPC Sections 363, 366A, 376D and POCSO Act Section 46. After registering an FIR under these sections, the police arrested Shahnawaz and the other three accused. At the same time, it is said that two criminals are still on the run and are being sought.
Manendragrah Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Nimesh Bariaya said: “In Chirmiri, the girl was working as a domestic helper. She claimed that about seven months ago Nikka and Raja sexually assaulted her after she was drugged by a woman named Priti Pandey.”
ASP Nimesh Bariaya added: “A few days later, the same woman lured the minor one more time and they travelled to Bilaspur where three people including Shahnawaz Ali raped her.”
