Mahindra & Mahindra has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Adani Total Energies E-Mobility Limited (ATEL), aiming to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in India. This strategic partnership is poised to create a robust EV charging infrastructure, aligning with the nation’s climate action goals.
The MoU between Mahindra and Adani Total Energies outlines plans for the establishment of a robust EV charging infrastructure across the country. This initiative aims to provide seamless access to charging facilities for EV owners, covering aspects such as discovery, availability, navigation, and transactions. As part of this collaboration, Mahindra XUV400 customers will have access to a network of over 1,100 chargers through the Bluesense+ app, significantly enhancing the convenience of EV charging.
Veejay Nakra, President of Mahindra’s Automotive Division, expressed enthusiasm about the alliance, highlighting its importance in enhancing the EV charging infrastructure and providing customers with an unparalleled EV experience.
Suresh P Manglani, Executive Director & CEO of Adani Total Gas, emphasized that such collaborations are crucial in encouraging customers to embrace EV technology as part of the energy transition, contributing to reducing carbon emissions and supporting India’s climate action goals.
This partnership between Mahindra and Adani Total Energies reflects the shared commitment to decarbonize transportation and move towards an electric and sustainable future, in line with the commitments made at COP 26.
Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) recently achieved a significant milestone by initiating a total solar energy capacity of 1,000 MW at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat. This development underscores AGEL’s commitment to renewable energy and supports its operational capacity growth to 9,478 MW.
Additionally, Adani Electricity Mumbai has issued a tender to select project developers for procuring power from 600 MW grid-connected wind projects across India, furthering the adoption of renewable energy sources in the country.
