Residents are advised to stay hydrated and avoid going out during peak heat hours between 12 PM and 4 PM. Wear light, cotton clothes and cover your head while outdoors. Keep an emergency kit ready with essential items like water, dry food, medicines, a flashlight, and batteries. Stay indoors during storms, close windows and doors, and avoid travel unless necessary. Do not take shelter under trees or near electric poles. Unplug electrical devices to protect against lightning damage. Avoid open water sources and stop any field work during storm conditions.

Authorities also urge livestock owners to secure animals in covered shelters and avoid open grazing during the afternoon. The weather changes are due to a low-pressure area over Marathwada and nearby regions, along with multiple cyclonic circulations and upper air troughs affecting central India. The northern limit of the monsoon has reached parts of Maharashtra and northeastern states, influencing the current weather pattern.
