Juniper Green Energy has recently sealed a significant deal with state-owned SJVN, finalizing a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to provide round-the-clock 320 MW of renewable energy. To fulfil this commitment, Juniper will embark on developing one GW of capacity across Gujarat and Rajasthan.

The 25-year PPA, secured at a tariff of Rs 4.38 per unit, marks a milestone for Juniper, propelling its operational and under-construction capacity to 2.5 GW. The project is anticipated to generate 2,179 million units of energy annually, resulting in an offset of approximately 20,41,811 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year.

In addition to its environmental impact, these initiatives are poised to significantly improve energy access for around 4.34 lakh households, fostering community development and bolstering regional sustainability efforts.

Juniper’s ambitious plans include the installation of 150 MW of solar power capacity in Gujarat, with the remaining 780 MW set to be established in Rajasthan. This comprehensive approach will integrate solar, wind, and battery technologies to create a hybrid power solution.

Commenting on the agreement, Juniper Green Energy CEO Naresh Mansukhani expressed confidence in the company’s ability to execute large-scale hybrid projects successfully. He emphasized the significance of this partnership with SJVN in advancing the national agenda for a sustainable future.

Juniper Green Energy, known for its expertise in renewable energy production and operations, currently boasts an operational portfolio of approximately 1 GW, with another 1.5 GW under construction and a development pipeline of close to 5.5 GW of solar, wind, and hybrid projects.

The company offers end-to-end internal competencies in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services for its renewable energy projects.
