Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh said in Prayagraj that there is a continuous conversion of Hindus. There is an imbalance in the population due to conversion and migration. He also called for strict enforcement of the anti-conversion law. Along with this, he also expressed his opinion regarding the reservation.
According to the reports, there was a four-day meeting of the All India Executive Board of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). After this meeting, Hosabale said these things to the media in Prayagraj on Wednesday.
At the All India Executive Board meeting, he expressed concern about the frequent conversions in the country. He called for a population policy and apply it equally to all.
The Sangh Sarkaryavah stated that the population of Hindus is declining in many places in the country due to conversion and its consequences have also been seen. He said that border migration is also one of the reasons for the population imbalance that has led to social and economic tensions.
Hosabale stated that due to demographic imbalance, many countries have been divided, including India.
The RSS leader also cited the “declining number of household members” as the reason for the demographic imbalance. He said that due to the emphasis on population control in the last 40 to 50 years, the average size of households has increased from 3.4 members to 1.9 members. Due to this, in the coming years, it is expected that the number of older adults in the country will increase more than that of young people. Therefore, maintaining a balance in the population is essential to be a ‘young country.
He said RSS has asked its workers to turn to organizations like the Arya Samaj and the Dharma Jagran Department, which are working to stop conversions. Due to this, good results have been seen in “Ghar Wapsi”.
Hosbale said the RSS believes that people who have converted to religion should not get the benefit of the reserve.
On the issue of women’s empowerment and participation in social activities, Hosbale said that education among women, especially among Hindus, has increased and she is working in all walks of society.
Making an indirect reference to anti-conversion laws in states like Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka, Hosabale stressed that existing laws need proper implementation as the Hindu population is declining in many states due to religious conversion. He alleged that “conspiracies are being hatched in various parts of the country for religious conversions.”
Hosabale also stated that the Sangh treats everyone equally as citizens of India and has made efforts to connect with all the communities and tribes in the northeast. “It is due to the efforts of the RSS towards ‘Swabhiman Jagran’ that the sentiment of ‘Main Bhi Hindu Hoon’ (I am also a Hindu) has grown among the people of the northeast.
